Iron Lady Leetgion Open a Success! Unprecedented 9Hr Epic SC2 Marathon!
On April 28th, Leetgion and NESL’s Iron Lady held the first ever Iron Lady Leetgion Open Tournament. The tournament exceeded everyone’s expectations, in becoming one of, if not the largest all female tournaments of the year. Featuring the biggest names in StarcraftII, including EC.Scarlett, ST.Aphrodite and SlayerS.Eve, they went on to become the top three finalists in this grueling 9 hour marathon. The tournament set unprecedented numbers for an all female tournament, including a max simultaneous viewership of 4,200 viewers, and briefly crashing the broadcasting server. In addition to the top 3 finalists, the extremely high talent base of the participants also caused the tournament to extend over 9 hours, a first in the Iron Lady Tournaments. The length and magnitude was all in true epic proportions, an event that will truly go down in Starcraft2 gaming history. This will be the start of many such events being held by Leetgion, and Iron Lady, so stay tuned to more awesome tournaments in the future.
